Philadelphia Phillies closer Brett Myers flew Thursday to the team's spring training complex for an MRI on his strained right shoulder. Myers left Wednesday's game at Florida in the ninth inning clutching his arm above the elbow. Before departing for Clearwater, Fla., he was examined by team trainer Scott Sheridan, who confirmed the original diagnosis of a strained shoulder.
