Lauren Jackson scored 31 points, and Betty Lennox had 22 to help the Seattle Storm set a franchise record for points in a game in their 100-87 victory over the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday night.
Janell Burse added 13 points and a career-high 19 rebounds, just one short of Jackson's team record held by Jackson, and Sue Bird also had 13 points for the Storm (2-0). Cappie Pondexter led the Mercury (1-1) with 31 points, and Diana Taurasi had 14.
