Bonds homers, but Giants fall to Arizona (AP)

Arizona manager Bob Melvin said he wanted to "crawl into a hole" when he pitched to Barry Bonds with first base open and Bonds hit a two-run homer, the 742nd of his career. Scott Hairston bailed his manager out. Hairston hit a three-run pinch-hit homer to lead the Diamondbacks to a 5-4 victory over San Francisco on Saturday night.
